Patients & Families

At Pomegranate each resident is given a room with private bathroom. Patients/residents are given a patient handbook upon admission, assigned a therapist and CPST (Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment interface) to work closely with them during their stay. Pomegranate is a secure facility designed for adolescents in crisis.

Bed linens and personal hygiene products are provided. Staff launders personal items during a resident’s stay.

A resident may bring up to 5 outfits that meet facility criteria.

Parent/guardian may also provide approved hygiene products of resident’s personal preference.

Residential and Shelter Care Visiting Hours are: Mon-Fri 6:00-7:30pm and Sat-Sun from 10-12:30pm and 5:00-7:30pm

Acute Visiting Hours are Mon-Fri 6:00-7:00 pm in 15 minute increments only and Sat-Sun 2:00-3:00pm

Meals  and snacks are provided daily under supervision of a dietician.

An integrative schedule keeps residents active throughout the day. Structured individual, group and art therapy time is balanced by recreational activities such as basketball, volleyball, walks and outings which can include visits for shopping, bowling, Crew or Clippers games. Residents may earn points towards goals in a strength-based program.

There is free time for television, DVD player, Ping Pong, video games and board/card games.
