The Pomegranate Team:

Pomegranate's interdisicplinary team of certified nurse practitioner, adolescent clinical and independent licensed social workers, therapists, CPST's, psychiatric nurses, counselors, psychologists and special education teachers work in tandem with a supervising child/adolescent psychiatrist.

Each child receives an individualized treatment plan specifically tailored for him/her.

Specifics for Pomegranate Acute Specialty Hospital:

All treatment team members have apppropriate clinical privileges, are qualified by training or experience, or are supervised by a clinically privileged practitioner. Pomegranate Health Systems inpatient psychiatric services provide or make provision for the following services:

Dietetic services by a licensed dietician.

Emergency services provide emergency care on site until an individual presenting with a potential life or health-threatening service is transferred to a more appropriate provider.

Medical services are under direction of a psychiatrist and include availability of 24-hour, 7-days a week consultation of a psychiatrist or certified nurse practitioner in person and/or by telephone.

Nursing services are under direction of a registered nurse with a bachelor's or masters degree in nursing.

Patient education services are readily accessible and age appropriate, to include current reading and resource materials for education and leisure to meet the needs of the patient.

Pharmaceutical services are provided by contracted agency, which is under direction of a qualified registered pharmacist with a current license.

Psychological services are under the direction of a licensed psychologist and available upon physician order.

Psycho-social services are provided by qualified counselors and social workers.

Art therapy services are provided by a registered expressive Art Therapist . . . a favorite activity.
